The story
Kinkhab is the oldest and heaviest Banarasi weave. The silver zari runs through the weft, not just the pallu. We sourced this piece from the Ansari family in Varanasi, who have been weaving kinkhab for four generations. The meenakari floral field takes one weaver eight days to complete.

Woven at the loom, carried to Kalbadevi, sold to one family.
