The story
Pochampally ikat is named for the town in Telangana where the weaving families settled four hundred years ago. Single ikat resists only the warp. The geometric diamonds in this piece are part of an unbroken design vocabulary passed from mother to daughter in the weaving family. We carry this piece because it is honest, light, and correct.

Woven at the loom, carried to Kalbadevi, sold to one family.
