The story
Tissue silk is Kanjeevaram woven on a finer silk warp. It has the same zari quality as a full Kanjeevaram but at one-third the weight. We recommend it for reception evenings and for women who want to wear a Kanjeevaram without eight metres of silk on their shoulder.

Woven at the loom, carried to Kalbadevi, sold to one family.
Every piece we stock is bought directly from the master weaver. No middlemen. No mill production. Ramubhai will tell you the thread count, the loom number, and the weaver's name.
