The story

Shikargah means hunting scene. This is the oldest Banarasi pattern still in commercial weaving. Mughal emperor Akbar's court wore shikargah brocade. Ours is woven on ivory silk with a 22k gold zari field showing elephants, deer, and cypress trees. We take four bridal Shikargah commissions per year.

How we source

Woven at the loom, carried to Kalbadevi, sold to one family.

Every piece we stock is bought directly from the master weaver. No middlemen. No mill production. Ramubhai will tell you the thread count, the loom number, and the weaver's name.
