The story
Chanderi is a silk-cotton blend woven in the town of Chanderi in Madhya Pradesh. Kora means unbleached. We carry six Chanderi variants, all sourced through the Chanderi Cooperative. This is the one we reach for when someone says they want a saree for morning temple and evening dinner on the same day.
How we source
Woven at the loom, carried to Kalbadevi, sold to one family.
Every piece we stock is bought directly from the master weaver. No middlemen. No mill production. Ramubhai will tell you the thread count, the loom number, and the weaver's name.
