The story
Maheshwari silk-cotton was revived by Rani Ahilya Bai Holkar of the Holkar dynasty in the 18th century as a weaving tradition for Maheshwar town. The check-and-border pattern is the town's signature. We source from three cooperative looms in the town. It is a summer saree. It is also a saree you can wear every day of the year.

Woven at the loom, carried to Kalbadevi, sold to one family.
Every piece we stock is bought directly from the master weaver. No middlemen. No mill production. Ramubhai will tell you the thread count, the loom number, and the weaver's name.
